Ending the Silence: Sexual Assault Intervention for Women. Being a victim of sexual assault can take a major toll on a persons physical and mental well being. Not knowing where to go or who to turn to often leaves victims silent and scared. In the United States alone, 1/ 6 women are a victim of attempted or completed sexual assault. Victims are not alone. In this panel discussion, we will talk the issues faced by sexual assault victims and provide support victims, friends, and families.

Panel Presenters: Dr. Sadohl Jones is the owner of Atlanta Mental Health & Wellness Center, LLC and a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in individual and group counseling with women and specializing in trauma recovery (sexual, physical, emotional abuse in women). Elizabeth Corona a volunteer speaker with WellSpring Living an organization dedicated to serving survivors of sexual abuse and exploitation; Monica Manuel, LPC is the CEO and Founder of Joie de Vivre Counseling and Therapy a holistic and mental health practice for women focusing on mind body wellness; and Mindy Askea advocate with the Georgia Network to End Sexual Assault a non-profit coalition of sexual assault agencies and concerned individuals that share the common goal of ending sexual assault.
